Forestburg is a two time Communities in Bloom National Champion!
The community is located 80 km SE of Camrose on Highway 53, next to the beautiful Battle River Valley, Big Knife Provincial Park and North America's oldest stripping shovel at the Diplomat Mine Interpretive Site. Take a tour of Prairie Mines & Royalty Limited's mining operations with monster draglines at work and tour the ATCO Power Battle River Generating Station.
Attend one of the Battle River Playmaker's Dinner Theatre productions, dance recitals, choir concerts, the annual Concert Series presenting professional entertainers, our local museum and public library.

From the October 2010 Communities in Bloom Magazine -The village of Forestburg, located in east-central Alberta, excels at beautifying its landscape and showcasing its history. Beautiful baskets hang from street posts while residential and community gardens boast diverse floral displays. Lush green lawns with a backdrop of living walls showcase the talent of many experienced volunteer gardeners. Displays of farm implements strategically placed throughout the village remind visitors of Forestburg's rich farming heritage and encourage explorative strolls through the streets. This proud community is certainly blooming!
