Fire Rescue


Dear Forestburg Residents:
The Forestburg Fire Department will be conducting wild land fire fighting training at the golf course on WEDNESDAY evening and will be burning several areas that have large accumulations of growth. The training that is gained from this exercise, as well as removing the fire load in these areas is valuable.

If you happened to see the Fire Department training and are interested in learning more - we are currently looking for new members - please send an email if you would like more information.

Forestburg has a volunteer fire department led by Fire Chief Kevin Lunty.  It was organized out of the Fire Brigade in 1947, with its structure remaining the same up to today.  The department is alerted to an emergency by responders.

Practice and training are the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at the Fire Hall (4813 - 50 Street), at which time members of the fire department take part in practices or training sessions.  The fire business meeting is held at the fire hall on 2nd Wednesday of each month.

The Village of Forestburg provides training and pay for the members.  If you are interested in joining the Forestburg Fire Department, please contact one of the members below:
