FORESTBURG PUBLIC LIBRARY 

Serving residents of Forestburg and area since 1955 - Located in the Farvolden Centre.

MEMBERSHIP brings you access to NEARLY 10,000 ITEMS LOCALLY and THOUSANDS MORE at other Alberta Libraries through interlibrary loan.  You can find information on databases hosted on the Parkland Regional Library website, from genealogy to current newspapers and magazines to medical information to how to fix your vehicle.  

Membership at our library is FREE, but we do charge fines for late materials.

Fiction & Non-Fiction for Children and Adults - Magazines - Large Print - Audio Books - DVDs/Videos - CDs - Books in French & Chinese (other languages available through Parkland Regional Library) 

LOTS of GREAT PICTURE BOOKS as the Flagstaff County books change 3 times a year!

CAN'T GET OUT?  The library offers home delivery in-town to housebound patrons.  NEED HELP FINDING SOMETHING NEW TO READ?  We can recommend titles - there's also some great databases that can give you suggestions - Novelist and Book Connection.

Free Internet Access (4 stations) - Children under 16 need parental permission to get an Internet Use Card. 

Office 2003 available on most stations, B & W/Colour Printing and Faxes.

Check out our catalogue at www.prl.ab.ca - you can request books online and renew materials.

A variety of programs are offered throughout the year.  A Summer Reading Program is held in July and August for Preschool to Grade 6.  Teens are welcome to sign up to an online book club year round - www.teensrc.ca

A reminder that Library Board meetings are open to the public.      Our regular meeting date is the second Thursday of the month at  7 pm.

The past two years the Library has been able to access the Provincial Community Spirit grant which matches individual donations.  We are a registered charity so we can issue tax deductible receipts.  All donations - large and small - are appreciated to get us over the $1000 minimum required to apply for the grant.

Hours of operation are:

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays - 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Thursdays - 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Saturdays -   10 :00 AM - 1:00 PM  (except long weekends)
