Lions Club

The Forestburg Lions Club was chartered by the Alliance Lions Club with nineteen charter members on March 24, 1961.  The club has supper meetings the first and third monday of each month, except for July & August.  Supper meetings are catered to by the Hastings Coulee Ladies.

The Club raises money by doing Tuesday night BINGO's, working at the bars at social functions, ham & turkey bingos, (before Christmas and Easter), working casinos in Red Deer, 100 Club Raffle, and other fund raisers.

The Club donated money for the first swimming pool, built in 1967, and the second swimming pool, community centre, arena, children's winter and summer sports and many other organizations, the three playgrounds, foster child,  & camp He-Ho-Ha.

The club presently has 23 members and open for new members, men or women.  Contact secretary-treasurer, Jeff Northey @ 582-3925 if interested.
