The Village of Forestburg is seeking an experienced coach and community-minded individual who will lead our Public Works’ Team for the next decade or longer! Our next Foreman is one who instills pride, safety, productivity, and quality service in their team and all those they come in daily contact with. You are innovative in approach and in drawing on experience you engage our entire team in public and professional relationships and service throughout your many responsibilities. You will be joining a growing and progressive community of just under 1000 people in East Central Alberta. We are extremely proud of our local amenities and community opportunities for involvement including our K to 12 School, outdoor swimming pool, multi-use indoor facility, indoor riding arena, golf course, curling club, playgrounds and green spaces as well as numerous community associations and groups such as the Forestburg Agriculture Society, Communities in Bloom, Economic Development and Promotion Society and many more.As a key member of the Administration Leadership Team your responsibilities include:

•Direct and manage the activities of the Public Works department.
•Plan and prioritize the implementation of public works maintenance and construction programs.
•Responds to inquiries and investigates complaints from the public.
•Prepare an annual work plan and schedule to fulfill and account for department goals.

As a proven professional, you will be building on past success in your 5-10 years of progressive Operations management. Having excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, elected officials, contractors, consultants, as well as the general public, you will be able to effectively undertake your duties with the following credentials:

•Level I Certificate for Water Treatment and Water Distribution.
•Level I Certificate of Competency for Wastewater Collection and Disposal.
•A valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with an acceptable Drivers Abstract.

The Public Works Foreman Position reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
