Forestburg Town-Wide Cleanup—Oct 14-17—Basic Collection Requirements:

-Yard Waste Cleanup Policy is available for residents only, at no time will Public Works Staff be responsible for removing waste which has accumulated due to work done by a tree company or contractor.

-Yard waste should be placed curb side prior to 8:00 a.m. during the collection period.

-At no time should yard waste be placed in a roadway.

-To increase collection efficiency, yard waste should be placed away from parked vehicles and branches, brush and tree/                                                         hedge trimmings should be separated from other yard waste.

-All filled containers must be under 20 kg (44 lbs).

-All yard waste must be packed in approved containers, loose material will not be collected.

-Yard waste collected in plastic bags will not be collected.

-Each street and laneway will be picked up only once per day during the collection period, no return trips will be made.

-Any items remaining after the collection period will be the responsibility of the home owner to dispose of.

Branch, brush and tree/hedge trimmings:

-All branches and limbs must be cut in 4-foot lengths and bundle securely.

-Bundles must be tied with string or rope or other compostable materials, no wire shall be used to tie bundles.

-Tree branches should not exceed 7.5 cm (3 inches) in diameter.

-Thorny branches should be placed in an approved container.

-Yard Waste does not include: Dimensional Lumber, Furniture, Any item manufactured from wood, Food waste from kitchens, Sod, Sand, Soil, Noxious Weeds (as defined by Alberta Agriculture), Flower Pots or Trays, Animal Droppings, Construction Materials, Rocks, Logs or Branches larger than 7.5 cm (3 inches) in diameter, Tree Stumps

Forestburg Municipal Election:
Election Day will be on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 10 am until 8 pm. 
The Forestburg Municipal Voting Station will be at the Friends of Battle River Railway Station – 5009 50 Ave., Forestburg.
Unofficial election results will be posted as soon as possible after the voting station closes.
