July 2 2025It is with deep sadness that we learned of the recent passing of long-term Village Foreman and life-long resident Peter Tschaja.
Forestburg was exceptionally fortunate to have Peter serve as the Village Foreman and thanks his family for his quarter-century of service to our community. His love for the job was obvious as was his willingness to go above-and-beyond the call, his smile, his infectious laughter and the stories that always found a way into the task at hand or at coffee with his team. After retirement Peter & Simone’s tireless involvements in our community continued through Communities in Bloom, at the golf course, curling rink and ball diamonds or wherever and whenever he could lend a helping hand in some unselfish way.
We have lowered our municipal flags out of respect for Peter and his entire family and to recognize all of his efforts in making our community a better place. We extend our deepest sympathies to Simone, Murray, Lori and their families and thank you for your husband and dad’s life well lived in service of his fellow residents and for our broader community as a whole.
